We had such a great shoot for To The New Girl back in March-April 2017, and I couldn’t be prouder of the entire cast and crew. It was such an amazing experience for me to sit behind the monitor and watch all the planning come to life on screen.
The weeks leading up to the shoot were pretty chaotic (complete with an unexpected last minute trip to the east coast) so I’ve been taking a little break for the last month. We’ll jump in headfirst on post-production in mid-June, with the hope of having a completed version of the film by the end of the summer. I haven’t even looked at the footage, so I’m really excited to finally start watching it back when the editor (who we are still choosing) gets her hands on it!
One of the fun things that I have been able to do is update our film’s IMDb page. It not only includes all our fantastic cast and crew’s information, but also a huge number of “special thanks” credits to people who supported the film both on and off of Kickstarter. I was really excited that several of our cast and crew got IMDb pages out of this experience, and several others added a “first credit in this category” to theirs… stuff like this can have a big impact on people’s careers, and it makes me excited to think that our movie might help these talents!
I also made quite a few updates to my personal IMDb, they finally seem to be getting a bit better about adding credits!
